| Sundyne's specialization in embedded systems and
network computing has yielded numerous innovative products
ment for server centric computing, to its profile. We
have developed an array of Network Appliance Computing &
Terminal Emulation products for various operating environments.
Our Products are used to implement complete centralized computing
/ server centric computing
We develop firmware, operating systems for
Thin client / Network appliances etc. Along
with appropriate hardware, Sundyne’s
thin operating systems are used for products such as Network
terminals, thin Clients, Firewall boxes, routers, VPN solutions,
POS, all kinds of information KIOSKS and Client - server solutions
We develop protocols and terminal server emulation
software for remote desktop computing for POSIX based systems/X
based Server platforms(Linux, Unix etc). The software products developed by Sundyne are
offered in form of solutions for Server centric computing
rather than a stand alone Network Appliance.
Network Appliance Firmware
We are offering a highly
secure, stable, multi protocol, embedded Linux OS for thin
client solutions and embedded systems for OEMs, ODMs, ISPs,
System Integrators, Embedded solution providers, Enterprise
Application Integrators etc. Our Thin client OS brings a full
range of applications from the Terminal server such as desktop
publishing, word processing, database management, e-mail,
presentation and financial applications to the terminal desktop,
KIOSKS, POS terminals, touch screens, data acquisition systems,
process control systems, stand alone application boxes etc.
Each terminal can be configured for communication directly
or via TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).
Based on standard libraries, fast and easy integration of
virtually all components, conforms to standard file structures,
effortless integration of in-house developed and 3 rd party
applications. Our Operating System is designed to connect
to terminal servers and can emulate terminal services provided
by Windows 2000 / Windows 2003 Server families, Xs on
all UNIX and LINUX flavors. The OS provides Local Printing,
local disc support, Client-side audio support and Local USB-Support.
It supports multiple x86-based core hardware platforms including
Intel, National, Via and ST Micro.
Sundyne's Network Applaince firmware is portable across
any older 486 and above diskless computer, to function as
a thin client. The client connects to the server through the
network to process applications, access files, print, and
perform services available like on the most latest computers.
Thus the client becomes capable to run latest Windows 2000/XP
applications without the need of upgrading/scrapping the existing
Computers and without installing any applications locally.
As the applications will be installed only on one centralized
server which will act as an ASP for the client. The server
handles all application processing and memory demands.

Network Appliances
Network Appliances provide
users with business-critical applications in heterogeneous
B2B network structures - secure and reliable. A Thin Client
is a simple and low-cost network computer for server-based
computing, reducing TCO and optimizing ROI. Besides Windows
based or Linux based terminal, it can be used as replacement
for a dumb text terminal, in POS environments, and Kiosk system.
They are quieter, easier-to-deploy, and simple to manage remotely.
Sundyne’s network appliances are Network-Boot
Smart Clients with support for Xs(Sundyne’s X protocol for
Remote desktop communication for GNU Linux/Unix) and MS RDP.
Unlike standard flash- based Thin Clients, the OS is loaded
from a terminal Server or
Boot Server during client boot time. This allows for
a "stateless client device" (no local storage, even for its
own OS), that holds no permanent OS. During run-time the OS
is held in RAM, providing dedicated client functionality for
either Xs or RDP. During off-times (off-times can be set by
server) the client is a useless piece of hardware that cannot
be used unauthorized against its server for any reason. The
client is a truly zero-administration, plug-and-play network
device, retaining fully featured thin client functionality,
including server based local printing.

Server centric
Computing Software
Sundyne's core expertise
lies on POSIX based platforms. Sundyne has deviced a protocol
for remote desktop computing and software for terminal emulation
for POSIX based platforms. The protocol efficiency is comparable
to MS RDP for LAN based computing and has been further
optimized for a WAN based application publishing solution
providing efficiency closer to Citrix like application publishing
solutions.
